Credit Where Credit’s Due tells the story of the life and times of George Absalom Carey, the businesses he established and the people who have worked for and been served by them for well over a century.
The journey begins in the ironstone mines of Eston shortly after the long reign of Queen Victoria came to end and brings us to the present day, when Careys Personal Credit and the Tees Mutual friendly society continue to meet the needs of working people in Teesside and beyond.
